The Pre-Professional Division is open to intermediate and advanced dancers by audition only. It is designed to provide training that meets the highest artistic standards. Our curriculum includes classical ballet training that combines elements from the classic Russian, Italian, French, and American schools of training, transforming passionate dancers with a rich knowledge of classical technique and the ability to adapt to all styles and techniques of dance students into versatile artists in an ever-changing dance world.
The purpose of our Pre-Professional program is to provide a transitional experience for dancers as they move from the academic ballet setting to the world of professional dance. Students in this Division are primarily training for professional performing careers in classical ballet.
Members of the Pre-Professional division are expected to take all of the daily classes. At this level, as technique becomes increasingly more difficult, regular attendance is crucial in order to maintain and develop the required strength, skill and artistry, and safeguard against injury. Members enrolled int the Pre-Professional program are required to take their required classes in the afternoon/evenings and Saturdays, as well as the daytime program.
